Life goes by too fast....
Life seems to be going by too fast. I hear myself complain about how long the work day is but when I am at home things seem to be hurrying along. My baby is a freshman and my daughter is a senior in high school!. How did this all happen? In 4 months she will be 18, already talking about the day she will move out and tackle the world on her own... ahhh sad momma.... I know that as a parent you are to raise your children the best you can and then send them out in the world to live their own lives. I am proud of my children and who they are becoming but I am no where near ready to let them go. Being a single mom for most of their lives has made all three of us grow up together. I do not remember life before them or can even imagine life with out them here with me. We are the only constant thing we have every had. People come and go out of our lives but we have always been together and been here for each other. So life, please so down a bit, just for me, just so I can cherish every second a little more and have time to be grateful for all the craziness my life offers!

1st Halloween without the kids. It was very sad- But I got to hand out candy for the 1st time. We saw some really cute kids! The little kids are so cute and POLITE! I had one older kid actually say "You got candy?" I should have tricked his happy little butt!
I am sure the kids had fun with their friends but i want them to WANT to be with their Momma! They are growing up way too fast! I want them to be little again! Poor pitiful me...

THE MINI VAN!
Lets talk about the MINI VAN-
I have recently turned 30.. Yes, the DIRTY 30!!! I wasn't looking forward to it at all... I made everyone around me MISERABLE. I am actually quite surprised that I still have a family to come home to! I am sure that there are a lot of people that go through the same things I did. I wondered what the hell happened to all the time... When I was in high school 30 seemed OLD... now I look in the mirror and wonder is 30 really so old? Do my kids think I am old? OMG I see my mother! Is my butt supposed to be there? Hmmm.... Anyway, so to top off all of my anxiety about getting old. My husband decides we need to get a new car, so we start looking at SUV's. Hang on let me tell you what we had been driving. Red Trans Am with racing stripes... Very pretty, very loud. But not very comfortable for the kiddos. Chevy Colorado- Very pretty. But the warranty was almost up and we had already had it back to the dealer 6 times in 2 years. SO Anyway we start looking at bigger and better. Then the hubby finds an UPLANDER. Tells me it looks like a SUV but is a MINI VAN. This isn't something a girl wants to even think about when she is in a crisis over being 30. I threw a fit, a kicking and screaming kind of fit. It has everything you can imagine in it. DVD, Hard drive, remote start, heated seats yadda yadda yadda. But on the outside guess what it has- The characteristics of a mini van. No mistaking it for a SUV. This is a-The kids will be safer, more comfortable, highly entertained and my ass will be warm -soccer mom MINI VAN. So needless to say He won- I lost and I am now driving a mini van. But I still have the TA :) On my Birthday my mom sent me a card that read 30: It's always funny till it happens to you.....
True, so true....
On the upside, 30 isn't that bad. The van isn't that bad either... but to all of you out there.... I say it is a SUV- so it is an SUV! UNDERSTAND??
